Gerbrich Meijer is one of today's most versatile clarinetists. In 2025, she received the Alumni Award from the Music Academy of the West. She was also Young Dutchman for the Concertgebouw last year. That same year, she made her debut as a soloist with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra at TivoliVredenburg and at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. In 2024, she was a finalist for the Dutch Classical Talent Award. With her innovative One Woman Show she won the Audience Award there. And made her debut CD for AVRO-TROS.
Gerbrich performs as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. She plays at major festivals and with well-known orchestras, such as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Symphony Orchestra. She studied in Copenhagen with John Kruse and received her master's degree from the Colburn Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles, where she was taught by Yehuda Gilad. She then completed her soloist training with Johnny Teyssier.
Gerbrich is affiliated with Nordic Artist Management's Young Artist program and is a solo clarinetist with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra.
