Viola player Connie Pharoah is in great demand as a soloist, leader and chamber musician. Connie lives in Amsterdam and is a member of the Marigold Piano Quartet, which recently impressed the Netherlands with performances in the Concertgebouw, the Muziekgebouw several times live on Radio 4 (classical radio). She plays with several orchestras in Europe and in the Netherlands with all major orchestras and chamber orchestras, as well as with the 12 Ensemble and the O'Modernt Chamber Orchestra. She is also a co-founder of the Seida Ensemble. In addition to her experience as a performing chamber musician, she also enjoys organizing chamber music concerts. Her artistic and conceptual approach is heavily influenced by musicians with whom she has collaborated at festivals such as Yellow Barn, Mendelssohn on Mull, Ozawa Academy, IMS Prussia Cove Open Chamber Music and the Zermatt Music Festival. Last year she performed in the United Kingdom and Europe with world-renowned composer Max Richter. Recent highlights included solo and chamber music concerts at the Heidelberg Festival in Japan and a tour with the HearAndNow collective in Australia.
