Born in Kazakhstan in 1998, Ruslan Talas’ musical journey has been shaped by European, Russian and Kazakh violin traditions, which continue to influence his versatile and passionate approach to the instrument. He began his studies at the Kazakh National Academy of Music in Astana (2005-2010), and continued his education at the Central School of Music and later at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow (2010-2021). He then continued his studies at the HEMU Conservatory in Switzerland (2021-2024) and is currently studying at the Kronberg Academy in Germany, in the class of Janine Jansen.

Ruslan is a laureate of several international violin competitions, including the Queen Elisabeth Competition (2024) and the Stuttgart International Violin Competition (2024). He has performed in such renowned venues as the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Wiener Konzerthaus and Bozar in Brussels. In 2025, he made his debut at the Salle Cortot in Paris.

In addition to his solo career, he is an active chamber musician and has collaborated with artists such as Janine Jansen, Denis Kozhukhin, Antje Weithaas, Jens Peter Maintz, Daniel Blendulf, Timothy Ridout, Boris Brovtsyn and Gareth Lubbe.
