Isaac Lottman (b. 2003) is a Dutch cellist, born in Amsterdam, who began playing the cello at the age of two. He received his first lessons from Atie Aarts. He has also had lessons from Charles Watt and Monique Bartels. At the age of 13, he enrolled in the Sweelinck Academy for Young Talent under the guidance of Monique Heidema. In 2020, he began his studies at the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music, where he began taking lessons with Pieter Wispelwey and Maarten Mostert. He is now in his third undergraduate year with Pieter Wispelwey and has also taken many lessons with Dmitri Ferschtman. He has taken master classes with Gary Hoffman, Nicolas Altstaedt, Anastasia Kobekina, Jean-Guihen Queyras, Jeroen Reuling and Matthias Bartolomey.

In 2019, he won first prize at the Britten Competition, followed by second prize at the National Cello Biennial Competition in 2022.

He enjoys performing chamber music as cellist of the Fontana Quartet, a dynamic ensemble that will go on their first tour in Portugal in March 2024. He has also given solo recitals and concerts with orchestras in venues such as the Muziekgebouw and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, as well as internationally on several intercontinental tours.
